This event was terrific. It was held in beautiful New Orleans, Louisiana during the weekend of Mardi Gras, prior to the Super Bowl. There were lots of parades and a very festive mood.

We had representatives from many of our major clients. Some of those clients, like Jacobs Engineering, Merck Pharmaceuticals and MedImmune led presentations to show how they were using NetPoint in their businesses.

Keynote by Dr. Gui Ponce de Leon

Dr. Gui gave a great keynote on the dangers of planning fallacy and optimism bias. He spoke of strategies that we can use to overcome these issues, such as relying on an outside point of view and working with risked schedules as the new normal mode of operation.

You can download a copy of his presentation here. I highly recommend that you read it. It’s got some tremendous insight.

We got really good feedback from some of our customers about the usefulness of the conference. They thanked us for providing the type of content that they could use in their day to day. We participated in some great discussions. It was, overall, a very productive exchange of ideas.

I can’t wait till the next one.  Hope to see everybody there!
